Giving Back in Roatan – Roatan Marine Park, Sol Foundation & Clinica Esperanza
As we come to the end of the year, we would like to mention a few groups working in Roatan that assist with Reef Conservation, Education, Sporting Clubs and Health Care. All groups run important community based programs that need assistance, if you have an interest in a specific area be sure to contact them, as there are lots of ways you can help from volunteering, bringing sporting equipment or medical supplies with you when you visit or shopping at the Roatan Marine Park community store. We thank you for any assistance you can offer.
Roatan Marine Park
Is a community based, nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of Roatan’s protected marine and coastal area including all of its flora, fauna, physical and biological characteristics and phenomena, and historical and cultural resources.
SOL Foundation
SOL International Foundation began when our founders, David Elmore and Brandon Raab began living on the island of Roatan and saw the lack of sports and other recreational activities available for the local kids. They have a flourishing Community Center, an inspiring scholarship program, a vital meal program, and of course a collaborative sports program and have been able to make a tremendous impact on the youth in Roatan.
Clinica Esperanza
Clinica Esperanza is a Christian-oriented, non-denominational, non-profit organization that operates under the Honduran NGO, Asociacion de Salud Comunitaria, and is dedicated to the premise that healthcare is a basic human right. It is our commitment to create an environment where the best possible healthcare can be provided.
